Xelay Acumen is the leading healthcare strategy and management consulting firm focused on enabling innovative products that matter. Based in San Mateo, CA and impacting healthcare worldwide, the experience I've had with this team is nothing short of profound. Managing worldwide travel and meeting logistics, identifying locations for quarterly team training events, and assisting in the daily operations of the firm is only a part of the pie. Participating in the organization's focus on team building, professional development, integrity, accountability, emotional intelligence all within an industry driven by data is one of the most empowering engagements I've had to date. On an on-going basis support is provided with executive scheduling, bookkeeping, internal reporting, government affairs, and social media content development. Check out the photo reel below to see some of where my attention has been going these past few years! This Thanksgiving we built a heartfelt e-commerce site just for fun. Really. Because at the end of long day all we want to do is laugh, and there's no better way than putting things online to share our joys with others... and thus CrappyWatercolors.com was born.

Location scouting, scheduling, budgeting, and providing feedback to camera handlers and editors: all things done in support of the Joan Torres's All Is Fused music video for Invaded. With just only two takes in studio at Different Fur Studios and a half hour during the album photo shoot on location at Jerry Garcia Park in San Francisco, CA, the parts and pieces for a live studio video came together smoothly. The crew of The Circle, a documentary in-progress that presents an evolution of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art disguised within ritual dance, travelled to Brazil to visit with Mestre Nô during to learn more about the roots of a practice that have spread worldwide. Dozens of hours of footage capture perspectives on capoeira that will provide students insights into Mestre's history and teachings. The team is in the process of planning content and editing footage. Within the next 12 months a web interactive allowing visitors to digitally explore the material will be released. We're looking forward to sharing with you soon! With my good friend and owner of Kayak Connection, I managed and helped develop a retro style apparel logo. Truckers hats are a sought after commodity on the beaches of Santa Cruz, and Jess (the owner) wanted her own business to shine. It was a colorful project and fun to be a part of.
Next time you're in Santa Cruz, be sure to head out on the water! Kayak Connection's got you covered. In 2014, a dynamic group of wellness experts and artists came together to help bring Yogamats.com into the world of e-commerce and Web 2.0 tools.
First step: standardize a set of product offerings, to compliment her custom order operations. That meant new fabrics! Second step: Get our web team in place (a huge thanks to NK Interactive based in San Francisco, CA) Third step: Photo shoot! (an amazing thanks to Greg Hollar Projects based in Rochester, NY) Gorgeous photography was produced to grace the site's online store pages, production orders would be easier to track and manage, and all products would a click away to brand new as well as recurring customers.
